About The Church Of Mushrooms
The Church of Mushrooms is an interfaith entheogenic Church and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on the spiritual use of psychedelic mushrooms. We believe that mushrooms are profoundly powerful tools for healing, transformation, connection, acceptance, and growth.
Psychedellic mushrooms have been used in religious and spiritual contexts for thousands of years. Some would argue that we wouldn’t have come this far in human evolution without them. Our goal is to embrace the wisdom of these sacred teachers and to share this incredible spiritual tool with the utmost reverance.
Statement of Beliefs
We, the members of the Church of Mushrooms, declare that our religious practices are based on the sacramental use of psilocybin-containing mushrooms for spiritual growth, healing, and connection to the divine. Our faith is rooted in the belief that the mushroom is a sacred and powerful tool for personal transformation and mystical experience.
We recognize the mushroom as a gift from the divine, which has been used by indigenous cultures for centuries for its healing properties and spiritual significance. We acknowledge the mushroom’s potential to facilitate personal growth and deepen our connection to nature, ourselves, and each other.
As members of this church, we commit to upholding the following principles:
Respect for the mushroom and its sacramental use: We recognize the mushroom as a sacred plant medicine that should be treated with reverence and respect. We believe that the mushroom should only be used in a ceremonial and intentional setting, under the guidance of experienced facilitators.
Connection to the divine: We believe that the mushroom has the potential to deepen our connection to the divine and help us access higher states of consciousness. We strive to cultivate a spiritual practice that is grounded in love, compassion, and humility.
Healing and personal growth: We acknowledge the therapeutic potential of the mushroom and its ability to facilitate emotional and psychological healing. We commit to using the mushroom as a tool for personal growth and transformation, as well as supporting the healing journeys of others.
Community and fellowship: We recognize the importance of community and fellowship in our spiritual practice. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive community that welcomes all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or background.
Sustainability and environmental stewardship: We acknowledge the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of protecting the natural environment. We commit to promoting sustainable and responsible practices that honor the earth and its ecosystems.
As members of the Church of Mushrooms, we uphold these principles with respect and integrity. We recognize that our religious practices may be considered controversial and illegal in some jurisdictions, and we advocate for the decriminalization of entheogenic plants and fungi for religious and spiritual purposes.
We invite all individuals who share our beliefs and values to join us in our journey of spiritual growth and personal transformation. Let us honor the mushroom and its teachings with humility, gratitude, and reverence.
Signed,
The Members of the Church of Mushrooms
